Handmade Western Leather Gear built for real work

Chainwork Tack is a small handmade leather shop based in Vernal, Utah in the Uinta Basin, building custom chaps and western tack designed to stand up to everyday use.

Each piece is cut, sewn, and finished by hand with attention to durability, function, and the details that matter in the saddle. Inspired by the realities of ranch life, the goal is simple — build honest gear riders can depend on.

Whether it's custom chaps or everyday western tack, every piece reflects a commitment to craftsmanship, fit, and gear that holds up to real work.

Meet the Maker behind Chainwork tack

I’m Jolynn, owner and maker behind Chainwork Tack.

I married a working cowboy in 2015 and soon after got into leather. What started as a hobby eventually turned into a business in 2024, built with the encouragement of a husband who understands what good gear is supposed to be.

Living alongside the work showed me quickly that western tack isn’t just about looks — it has to hold up to the job.

Western tack that holds up

We’ve spent our married life on a cowboy’s wage, so I know tack has to fit the budget and still stand up to real work.

Chainwork Tack is built on that standard — honest, durable gear made for riders and working cowboys.

Whether it's everyday using gear or a fully custom build, each piece is made with attention to function, fit, and the details that matter when you're actually using it.
